The Resilience Project

Wagin DHS will have a strong focus on Social and Emotional Wellbeing in 2025. With particular emphasis and explicit teaching with regards to building resilience and respectful relationships.

We have engaged with The Resilience Project, a whole school program whose key pillars are Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness and Emotional Literacy. This whole school wellbeing program teaches and supports positive mental health in the classroom, staffroom and wider community.
This program is emotionally engaging, practical, proven to have impact through evidence-based evaluations, and is delivered in 1000+ schools across Australia. We are so lucky to have this in our school. There is a dedicated Parent and Carer's Hub, just for families.  Feel free to have a listen of the Imperfects Podcast, How I build Dis, if you want to gain a greater insight into the journey we are embarking on.
